Tim Atkin:

LAN's Reserva is made with purchased grapes from the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa sub-regions, with a focus on lower yielding parcels. Pairing Tempranillo with 4% each of Garnacha and Mazuelo, it's a chalky, structured, assertively oaked cuvée from a cooler vintage with notes of toast and coconut and tangy blueberry and red berry fruit. 2024-30

James Suckling:

 A fresh nose with good depth and complexity. Spiced cherries, berries, dark chocolate and touches of wet earth and mushrooms. Medium-bodied and succulent on the palate, with lots of juicy fruit and a very long, fine-grained finish. Not the most concentrated expression of Rioja, but this shows the elegance, crunch and freshness of 2018. Delicious now, but can hold well.
