Three parcels in the Burgos village of Sotillo de Ribera - El Pedrero, Huerto Bonito and Las Higueras - are the source of this finely judged Tinto Fino from the Arroyo family. Matured in American and French oak, this is a traditional Rioja-meets-Ribera del Duero style, with balsamic complexity, gentle, savoury tannins and notes of strawberry, truffle and cured leather. 2023-26

James Suckling:

This has aromas of dark raspberries, smoked paprika, chocolate, currants and some coconut. Spicy and nicely concentrated, with a medium to full body and firm, compact tannins. Excellent length, too. Drink or hold.
