Viña Matalián 2023

The young and fresh white 2023 Viña Matalián is from their vineyard that gives the wine its name, 20 hectares in total, but this comes from a section that was planted with Palomino six years ago. It's a young, unfortified white fermented with indigenous yeasts and bottled unoaked. It has a serious nose and a somewhat austere and chalky palate, with complexity, freshness and balance, 12.5% alcohol and a pH of 3.1. It's dry, tasty and long, very good indeed. 25,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in January 2024.
