Callejón del Crimen Single Vineyard El Cepillo 2019

The new (at least to me) 2019 Callejón del Crimen Single Vineyard Pampa El Cepillo Malbec, produced with fruit from the vineyard that names the wine, has 14.7% alcohol, high ripeness and the profile of dark berries, slightly cooked fruit, earth, peat and a touch of leather that, to me, denotes very ripe and often also oaky reds. The palate is often better than what the nose suggests, but there's also high ripeness in the flavors and plenty of oak and wood-related flavors and sensations. 12 months in barrel. 8,500 bottles were filled in August 2020. Give it some more bottle time.
