James Suckling:

Luminous blackberries, plums and cocoa powder, with mineral and balsamic undertones, extending to a full-bodied and flavorful palate with plenty of mealy tannins. Concentrated, yet juicy. Impressive tannin quality here. 100% tinto fino. Better after 2023.

Tim Atkin:

"Atauta's 25 terroirs in a single bottle" is how winemaker Jaime Suárez describes this textbook Soria Tinto Fino. Amazing value for a wine sourced from 300 parcels between 130 and 185 years of age, it's a savoury, focused, slightly wild red, with grippy tannins that wouldn't look out of place in a Barolo and flavours of damson and umami. 2024-29.

The Wine Advocate:

There's a little more concentration, tannin and rusticity in the 2019 Dominio de Atauta, reflecting the conditions of a warmer and drier year. This selection matured for 16 months in French oak barrels, 15% of them new, followed by a couple of months in oak vats to let the wine settle before being bottled. 45,528 bottles and 900 magnums produced. It was bottled in September 2021.

Decanter:

Powerful Ribera with intense red fruit flavours and a broad palate that is well-charged with oak and fruit. Needs time in the bottle. Good potential.
