The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Gran Enemigo El Cepillo Single Vineyard was also incredibly aromatic and showy despite its youth and exploded with a combination of clove, nutmeg, curry, aromatic herbs and something vermouth-like, exuberant, expressive and open. It's labeled as Cabernet Franc, but legally it can have up to 15% other grapes, in this case Malbec. This 2020 is still a little young and has a dryness in the palate that gives it a faint rusticity that does not show in the 2019, which is also saltier and more layered. 7,200 bottles were filled in 2018.

James Suckling:

Lots of blueberry, violet and sandalwood aromas. Some sweet tobacco. Medium-bodied with fine tannins and a racy and beautiful finish. Refined and gorgeous now. Don’t wait.

Descorchados:

La zona de El Cepillo se encuentra hacia el sur del Valle de Uco. Es un lugar árido, un desierto a los pies de la montaña donde suele hacer frío, llover poco y estar constantemente expuesto a las heladas. Los vinos que de allí nacen tienen un carácter algo salvaje, como es el caso de este cabernet franc. La austeridad es la marca registrada de los vinos de El Cepillo y aquí la tienen expresada en tonos a frutas negras ácidas, una acidez intensa y penetrante, y taninos firmes como el concreto. Este vino necesita tiempo en botella, pero es difícil resistirse a abrirlo si hay un curry de cordero en el menú. (Patricio Tapia).
