Descrição

Este tinto é um verdadeiro tesouro proveniente da vinha com o mesmo nome, situada na parcela de Berri, na parte ocidental de Barolo. É um tinto intenso e aromático, com taninos sedosos e muito boa acidez. Ideal para acompanhar carnes de caça e cogumelos selvagens, é um barolo de grande longevidade e também perfeito para ser imediatamente desarrolhado.

The Wine Advocate:

The 2020 Barolo Gallinotto is fully loaded with ripe fruit without going too far. There is a core of red fruits framed by pie crust and delicate baking spices. The wine picks up speed in terms of mouthfeel, with energy and intense berry flavors, while maintaining harmony. The tannins are integrated and accessible. The wine is generally balanced from all points of view. It ages in both barrique and larger wood barrels. Production is 8,000 bottles.

James Suckling:

Notes of red cherries, dried blood oranges, rose hips and hints of licorice. It is juicier and supple on the palate, with bright red fruit dominating. Medium-bodied with polished tannins and a sleek aftertaste. Shows firmness at the end. It is already attractive, but will be best to drink after three to four years.

Jeb Dunnuck:

Medium ruby in color, the 2020 Barolo Gallinotto is distinctive, with floral and savory aromas in its forward notes of perfectly ripe apricots, candied raspberries, fresh mint, and orange peel. Ripe though medium-bodied, it displays a bit more intensity on the palate, with iron mineral notes, salted orange, and a clean, stony finish. It’s a touch more angular in its feel and is going to show well over the coming 10-12 years.
